JITO Chennai chapter witnessed the seminar on Industrial Revolution 4.0 conducted by Prof. Anuj Sharma – Founder Dean Auronya College, Puducherry. The members witnessed the peak into the future on how the industrial revolution will change the face of doing business with a range of new technologies that are fusing the physical, digital and biological worlds, and impacting all disciplines, economies and industries. Prof. Anuj Sharma explained the industry 4.0 is a name for the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, cloud computing and cognitive computing. Lights were drawn on the revolution of "emerging technology breakthroughs" in elds such as articial intelligence, Virtual reality, robotics, the Internet of Things, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing, quantum computing and nanotechnology. Members were given thoughts on how to adapt & evolve to the technological disruption which is to take place in the manufacturing segment in a big way.
