JITO USA - New York - Charter Ceremony

JITO USA - New York Chapter Charter Ceremony was hosted by Dr. Raj Bhayani and Mr. Rajeev Pandya on 13th June, 2018 in Manhattan. Mr.Sanjay Lodha, JIW Chairman graced the occasion which was attended by many prominent JITO NY members and guests from the Jain community in New York and New Jersey. Dr Raj Bhayani and Mr. Rajeev Pandya welcomed the audience and invited Mr. Sanjay Lodha to speak, who lauded the efforts of the JITO NY Chapter. During his speech, Mr. Lodha covered topics like – JITO's global growth and various international initiatives to drive economic development, business synergy, education and talent exchange for Jains around the globe. Mr. Rajeev Pandya spoke about importance of JITO USA for the next generations of Jains living in the USA and about global networking amongst Jains. He also covered growth of Jains in USA in last 50 years and plans for the future. Dr. Raj Bhayani covered importance of social networking and communication and political connectivity and how JITO USA can help empower and connect Jains across the country. Mr. Lodha during the Charter launch announced the core team for the New York Chapter and handed over the charter. Mr. Rajeev Pandya was elected as Chairman, Mr. Ashok Sancheti and Mr. Sandeep Shah and were elected as Vice Chairmen, Mr. Jitendra Kothari was elected as Secretary and Dr. Raj Bhayani was elected as Director of Public and International Relations. Discussions about different topics important to the Jains in New York and USA were discussed by the participants. Several of the key initiatives discussed were a) Medical Doctors & Healthcare Professionals Wing by Dr. Ajay Lodha - past President of AAPI and b) A Digital Network to Connect Jains across the USA - “A Linkedin for Jains” - by Rajeev Pandya and Jitendra Kothari. Also discussed by Dr. Raj Bhayani and Dr. Ajay Lodha was the possibility of a Global JITO USA Conference to be held during the 2019 United Nations sessions in September of 2019. The event ended with a rapid networking session and a self-introduction of each of the guests followed by a Vote of Thanks by the JITO NY Core Team.
