BREXIT and Jain Community

Since its launch on 4th June 2016, JITO UK hosted its first event on 26thNovember 2016 at Navnat Centre, Hays, London. It was an amazing evening of business networking and great discussions about post-Brexit business opportunities. It brought together young and old highly experienced professionals to form a panel of speakers who delivered a diverse and engaging talk on Brexit. The event started with recital of Navkar Mantra, followed by the lighting of lamp by senior Jain community leaders Mr Nemubhai Chandaria OBE (Institute of Jainology), Mr Harshadbhai Sanghrajka (Institute of Jainology), Mr Tushar Shah (OshwalSamaj), Mr Dhirubhai Galani (Navnat), Mr Manharbhai Mehta (NCVA). In his welcome remarks, Chapter secretary Dr Manoj Malu underscored the role of JITO in building up social capital as well as business connections. Mr.Mehool Sanghrajka moderated the discussion on "Brexit and its Impact on Jain businesses". Mr. Amit N Mehta (Inspired Learning Group), Mr. Ashok Shah (London and Capital), Ms.Kajal Sanghrajka (Growth Hub US), Mr. Vishal Shah (Niveda Industries) and Mr.Sujan Shah (Carrier Bag Shop) expressed their views on Brexit (yet to happen), and the challenges and opportunities it is likely to offer. This was followed by a lively open forum discussion about Brexit and Jain Community, with topics ranging from economic and business opportunities to social and ethical business practises as a Jain community. JITO-UK mobile app was showcased by Mr Sulabh Jain. Mr Kiran N Mehta, Chapter Chairman, expressed the vote of thanks and introduced JITO-UK team to the gathering of about 200 guests. The event concluded with a further Business Networking session.The event was rated as "excellent" by the attendees through formal evaluation.
